We had first thought that keeping records public would be a great way to share records. It turns out that many people however did not want to make their records public – in fact, this was the loudest feedback we received. So, within days we made them all private.
However, this left us sad because we specifically wanted others to see our great, gorgeous, genius pets. And not just because they are awesome either – we wanted feedback on some symptoms they had – for example showing pictures of bumps on their ears that show up during summer. It turns out, we think, this is from an allergic reaction from mosquitos. We wanted to see, for example, if other cats in or neighborhood had the same problem. We thought this would be a good opportunity to help each other. It was a big reason for building PVR.
To address this problem – we are (will be implementing in the future if feedback is good and we can find the time) introducing Pet Pals. A Pet Pal is anyone who you want to share your records with. A vet would be a good Pet Pal, for example, but it could be anyone.
So that is what we are up to – it will be the next big change we make to PVR – we hope you enjoy and we hope it helps you keep your beloved pets healthy and happy.
